Trintellix alternatives to us does NOT mean similar drugs. Likely you’ve already been down that road and it didn’t lead to the successful outcome you wanted.

And it’s no wonder, as the pharma industry has seemed to abandon the concept of actually improving health. Symptoms appear for a reason. We work with you to discover what actually needs fixing, and do that in a program designed for your unique needs. Not based on a label or artificial and temporary bandaid solutions.

Trintellix Alternatives — Drug-free Solutions for Depression and Anxiety

trintellix titration starts with neurotoxin removal & essential nutritionAntidepressant medications are sold to mask but not solve depression, anxiety, and other symptoms.

If these drugs worked, maybe we would not see the ever-increasing statistics worldwide about anxiety and depression and other labelled conditions.1

We see alternative treatments as a reliable pathway that has been obscured for too long. The alternatives to Trintellix are abundant, and are what we specialize in at Alternative to Meds Center.

(You’ll find each item is further expanded below the list.)

Examples of Trintellix alternatives can include:
  • Nutritional interventions
  • Physical exercise
  • Neurotoxin removal
  • Neurotransmitter rehabilitation
  • Support for a healthy gut microbiome
  • Physical relaxation and comfort therapies
  • Psychological therapies
  • Health-related education for continued wellness
More information can be found on these and other treatments on our services overview pages.

Nutritional Interventions

Under the umbrella of orthomolecular medicine, we provide many nutrition-based interventions that make excellent alternatives to Trintellix. This is a vast and varied resource for anyone who wishes to upgrade their mental wellness without relying on pharmaceutical products.

The tools we use include lab testing and then restructuring the diet, and supplementing specifically where needed. The elimination of chemical additives, sugars, and refined carbs is another aspect of diet modification that can be profoundly effective. Vitamins, minerals, and nutraceuticals can be used to complement those aspects of nutrition that are lacking or out of balance. 2-4

Physical Exercise — An Effective Trintellix Alternative

The importance of physical activity and exercise can not be overstated. Not only does physical health benefit, but physical exercise is an overlooked powerhouse for mental health improvement and preservation no matter the age of a person.5

Whether your preference is hiking, Qigong, a simple walk, yoga, or equine therapy, getting outside in the sunshine and fresh air are all effective tools for improved mood, sleep, appetite, and overall well-being and quality of life. Even symptoms of psychosis can be attenuated by regular physical exercise.6,7

Neurotoxin Removal

neurotoxin removal & neurotransmitter rehabilitationWhatever phase of life one may be in now, we have all been subjected to invasive neurotoxic chemicals in our food, fluoridated tap water, air, and even the soil in which our food is grown. Adding to that list is the modern life environment we find ourselves living in, with off-gassing carpets or furnishings, pollutants that re-circulate in the places where we work and live, and even personal hygiene products that are laden with harmful chemicals that find their way under the skin, eventually becoming stored within our tissues and organs.8

The removal of these neurotoxic elements is another key pillar of our Trintellix alternatives program at Alternative to Meds Center. Various methods are used to safely and gently remove these harmful residues, for a resurgence of mental clarity, better sleep, calmer mood, improved energy, and many other benefits.9

Sauna cleanse, colon hydrotherapy, nebulized glutathione treatments, ionic foot bathing, and deep massage are some of the tools we have found extremely popular with our clients that are able to safely remove neurotoxins.

Neurotoxins are largely fat-soluble, so during the sauna cleans, a method is used to convert these fat-soluble molecules to water-soluble so they can be easily purged through sweat and normal excretory channels. In this way, the liver and other internal organs are not overburdened in the process.

An Effective Trintellix Alternative is Natural Neurotransmitter Rehabilitation

The “serotonin deficiency” theory that was used for decades to sell antidepressant medications has not been borne out and can no longer justify the blind overprescribing of drugs that don’t fix but do manipulate our natural neurotransmitters — sometimes in negative ways.10

But we do have an important and highly complex system of neurotransmitters in the body that has likely been compromised and even injured over time. This can be corrected.

Part of the solution is found in cleansing neurotoxic disruptors from the body, and another important part is eliminating exposure to chemicals and pollutants. We use the principles of environmental medicine and safe tapering methods to reduce this liability.

Supporting the transformation back to healthy neurotransmission includes diet, supplementation as needed, and the many other therapies offered at Alternative to Meds Center, all working in tandem.

Support for a Healthy Gut Microbiome

The gut is our natural factory creating the neurotransmitters that the CNS needs for proper function. When there is an overload of unhealthy bad bacteria in the gut, our CNS suffers. A rebalance can facilitate proper neurotransmitter function which in turn, improves mood and other aspects of mental wellness. Colon hydrotherapy can play a role in maintaining a healthy gut.

A poor diet can injure the workings of the microbiome, and a good diet supports and repairs these problems. Daily consumption of fermented foods such as sauerkraut, yogurt, kimchi, can provide the raw materials. The body’s own intelligence blueprint can do the rest.11

Physical Relaxation and Comfort Therapies are Excellent Alternatives to Trintellix

Among the relaxation and comfort therapies available at Alternative to Meds Center are sound healing sessions, cold-plunge therapy, therapeutic massage, acupuncture, and many others.

These can not only bring relaxation and comfort, but also pain relief and a brand new appreciation for what natural mental wellness really feels like. 12,13

Psychological Therapies

Alternative to Meds Center offers many types of psychological therapies, that can play a major part in mental health recovery using a gentle, drug-free approach. At an appropriate point in a client’s program, both private counseling and peer support programs are made available and have provided invaluable benefits in a person’s recovery path. You can find out more about these types of Trintellix alternative therapies by visiting our services overview pages. 14

Health-Related Education

Education is empowerment when it comes to healthy alternatives to Trintellix. A person can become more able to provide excellent self-care when one understands the basics of nutrition, brain function, and training on how to maintain drug-free mental wellness well after leaving the program.

An example of the many educational resources offered to our clients is our popular ebook, “Medication Withdrawal and Neurochemistry” which can be downloaded today for your immediate enjoyment and use.

What is Trintellix?

Trintellix, generic vortioxetine, is a prescription medication prescribed for major depressive disorder (MDD) and anxiety. Unfortunately, the side effects of drugs like Trintellix have led to an increased interest in finding out about Trintellix alternatives that don’t come with the same liabilities as drug-based treatment, but do provide the relief of symptoms.15

Are the Mechanics of How Trintellix Works Known?

Drug makers and regulators freely admit they do not know specifically how drugs like Trintellix work — it is clearly stated in the drug label.15 There are theories that are parroted in all drug ads, but these are based on speculation and imagination rather than fact.

No drug can create new neurotransmitters, and the very specifically targeted “serotonin deficiency” theory of depression, etc., is wearing thin due to lack of clinical evidence.10

For healthy neurotransmitters, a clean diet consisting of fresh and unaltered food sources is the best medicine possible. Without proper nutrients a body cannot function as it was intended. Diet can become overlooked as a recovery tool, especially when drugs such as Trintellix cause nausea and kill the appetite altogether. That is NOT a good recipe for mental or physical wellness.

What is known about Trintellix is that it has a 66-hour half-life, and that it can commonly cause side effects including suicidal thoughts and behaviors, mania, nausea, vomiting, unusual bleeding, sexual dysfunction, insomnia, and many others. Coming off Trintellix can also introduce difficult reactions and side effects, which you can find out more about in our Trintellix Withdrawal article.

Drug-free Trintellix alternatives can provide safe and comfortable symptom relief, and do not share the liabilities of taking Trintellix. Similar Trintellix side effects are also associated with attempting to come off the drug. In fact, the use of Trintellix alternatives can greatly assist someone who is attempting to stop taking the drug, but this should always be done in collaboration with a prescriber who is familiar with antidepressant withdrawal.
