Christine, our primary therapist, is a Licensed Integrative Mental Health Therapist and Wellness Consultant with a wealth of experience and a wide variety of additional certifications. Christine recently moved to Arizona to work at ATMC, and to be closer with family. As such, she is currently in the process of transferring her LPC license to the state of Arizona. She weaves many modalities into her work as a therapist, customizing and tailoring her approach to each individual’s unique needs and preferences.

“I love working with people of all ages and helping each person to discover their true nature and gifts in a non-pathologizing way. I am a seasoned professional with a good mind, heart and spirit for helping facilitate soul wound and ancestral healing. I enjoy providing a warm, compassionate, and safe space for deep and wholistic healing for each person I work with.

“I obtained my double bachelors degree in Psychology and Women Studies from the University of South Florida in 1992, and my graduate degree in Counseling and Psychology in Education from the University of South Dakota in 2007.

“I was thrilled to find ATMC and have the opportunity to work with an organization that truly approaches mental health treatment holistically. As a fan of holistic treatment models, after becoming a licensed therapist, I went on to obtain several alternative certifications, including:

• EMDR Training and Certification from the EMDR Institute Inc.
• Certified Vedic Meditation Teacher Certification from Maharishi University of Management (2015)
• Certified Ayurveda Wellness Consultant from Maharishi University of Management (2015)
• Certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist from the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (2016)
• Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy from “Oklahoma TF-CBT
• Certified 200 hr. Yoga Teacher from Evolve Yoga & Wellness (2020)
• Certified Mindful Resilience for Young People: Children’s Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher from the Lumin Academy (2020)

“I specialize in Native American counseling and other other ethnic healing practices in a culturally sensitive and mindful manner. As a certified Vedic meditation teacher, I incorporate meditation and mindfulness as tools to help people manage symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression when appropriate.

“I am personable, self-reflective, collaborative, and often use narrative or story telling to help people shift their thoughts, feelings, and experience. I absolutely love what I do and deeply enjoy the journey of assisting and allowing nature to unfold from within each person. It is always an honor and gift to be part of another’s experience of healing.”
