My time at Alternative to Meds Center has helped me feel good about going home and starting life again.

Depression, Despair and Hopelessness While on Lithium and Lamictal.

When I came to Alternative to Meds Center I was in bad shape, feeling no motivation in life. Things can get really dark with no hope. Snowboarding was all I did and I was miserable otherwise.

I came to Alternative to Meds Center because things needed to change, and they did. It wasn’t easy though! There were days that I was afraid to come out of my room but by week 3 it started to slowly get better. I noticed the biggest changes around week 6.

My frame of mind is different now. I believe it’s okay to feel like I did when I first got here and remember that sometimes it’s just about getting to the next day. It’s more about acceptance than anything, as fighting creates conflict.
