Melody has a professional history working in behavioral health for 2½ years prior to moving back to Cottonwood from Prescott AZ. Melody has worked at Shamrock Recovery Services and Decision Point Centers prior to ATMC, as well as Royal Life Centers for a short period doing overnights. She also has experience in being a behavioral health technician as well as running healing art groups, after her personal history overcoming an opiate addiction more than four years ago. Melody also ran a project called Art for Advocacy bringing together victims of domestic violence to create art in order to raise awareness and fundraise for advocacy centers in the area.

Melody is passionate about using art and music to create healing and foster creativity. After seeing the effects that overmedication can cause, she is passionate about holistic health and the benefits it brings. Melody has taken psychology classes at Yavapai College before switching to focus on a degree in Justice Studies with extracurricular victim advocacy classes (in progress). Melody loves learning continuously in order to help others in the best way possible.
