I leave ATMC a changed man; a real man, no longer relying on anger, drugs, alcoholism, and other cheap ways to cope with my true emotions.

After interviewing a myriad of programs across the country, from Passages to Betty Ford, from Shamans to straitjackets, I found a place that will change my life forever. After several signs that I was off course, and putting the aspects of my life with the greatest value in jeopardy, I came to ATMC under the influence of a stiff cocktail; 1 part cocaine addiction, 1 part alcohol abuse, and 3 parts ego. I had lost myself, betrayed my core values, and wanted to redirect my path, and rediscover the meaning of happiness. What I ended up with was a far more balanced outlook on life, and the situations I have faced in the past and will face in the future.

I found parts of me that had been lost amidst a decade that included an ivy league education, financial success, and all of the sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll a man (and his liver) could handle. The staff allowed me to find my own way, while offering guidance and advice when needed. The program cleansed my mind, body, and soul. Most importantly, the energy of the other residents, and the environment made my transition to peace both smooth and interesting.

I leave ATMC a changed man; a real man, no longer relying on anger, drugs, alcoholism, and other cheap ways to cope with my true emotions. I learned a great deal about nutrition, natural supplementation (which I formerly thought was BS), and found a patient, happy, and appreciative self that I had buried long ago. I encourage anyone reading this to take a leap of faith and find their way to unbridled happiness here.
