As a child, from a very early age, I knew that I wanted to be a nurse and to work in the healthcare field. I wanted to have a career through which I could give back and help people during their time of need – that has always been my passion and drive in life. I chased that dream, earning my AAS in Nursing from Yavapai Community College in 2013, and my BSN from Grand Canyon University in 2015. I have worked as a Registered Nurse in behavioral health for over 6 years, and intend to continue with my education, becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
In my current role here at ATMC I am able to support residents on their individual journeys of healing and recovery. I take an empathetic and caring approach in everything that I do. The process of recovery is a big part of my own life, I am active within my local recovery community and I feel blessed to work in a setting where I have the opportunity to help guide others along their recovery path each day. I respect the unique and effective holistic approach taken here at ATMC in dealing with mental health, substance abuse, and dependency, and recovery. ATMC’s philosophy combines all the necessary pieces when it comes to healing, including the physical, mental, and spiritual.
